Who are Awesome Funk Collective?

Well, the name has been applied to a variety of outfits in the past made up of a mish-mash of musical talent sourced from Funk School, Got Funk, The Box Groove Coolers, Boogie Knights, The Groove Merchants and other cool local groove bands.

So, basically, Awesome Funk Collective isn't really a band at all. It's a collective made up of a pool of talented musos from a variety of bands. With that in mind, if you see a gig billed as The Awesome Funk Collective you are guaranteed a great night. The musos may change, the set will undoubtedly be different every time, but the groove will be down right funky.
